What Parents Say About Group Lessons

Crezelda Mather

As parents, our #1 priority is to keep our children healthy, happy and safe. Water safety should be a top priority for all children. Not only do they learn water safety at Nikki’s Swim Survival school, but they become awesome swimmers.

My two boys have been going to Nikki’s school since Oct.2021. Bryan 2 years old and Christian 3 years old. I cannot say enough good things about this school! The staff are always so friendly, welcoming and know each of my kids by name. They love their accomplishments and praising them when they complete a milestone. Whenever I tell my boys that we are going to Teacher Nikki, their faces just light up with joy. 🐠🤩 it’s so amazing!! They have built up so much confidence and trust within a few lessons. Christian has already moved up several levels and my now 2 year old is swimming without a parent. They are truly little fishes in the ocean 🌊 They both genuinely LOVE going to Nikki for swim lessons, and they both have learned lifesaving skills in literally 6 weeks NOT months.

Thank YOU to Nikki and team that consistently demonstrated kindness, thoughtfulness and excellence in swimming. I would recommend your school to anyone interested in not only teaching their children how to swim but to also be safe in the water!

Samantha

My older child spent two terms at a traditional swim and never willingly put her face in the water and swimming days were always met with tears and resistance. We saw very minimal progress and decided to give it a break until we found Nikki’s.

Nikki took time to discuss with me my daughter’s history and give info on how the course would run without any pressure to join. Once my daughter started she not only enjoys swimming now but has been progressing very well in under a year. My younger one loves being in the water and is growing in confidence.

I would highly recommend Nikki’s swim school. The instructors are patient, and very kind towards the swimmers. Allison also assisted me with my stroke correction she was able to explain strokes I never thought I could master. Fantastic school all round!

Kamilah Abdula

This is the best swim school, truly wonderful, the best possible place to take kids for swimming lessons and water safety.

Extremely grateful for all that was taught to us. Nikki is kind, charismatic and compassionate with all her students.

She is magical! ✨

Questions Parents Ask About Group Lessons

General

Does my child need to complete the Swim Safe Course before joining group lessons?

If your child is completely water safe and can confidently swim a full length of the pool unassisted, they’re welcome to join group lessons without first completing the Swim Survival Course.

What are group lessons like?

Weekly 20-minute lessons with up to 3 kids per class — small enough for personal attention, but social enough for fun and confidence-building.

OLDER confident swimmers who are practising the 4 swim strokes are 30min lessons with up to 4 children in a group.

Fees & Payment

When are invoices sent?

Term-based group lesson invoices get emailed out on the 25th of the month. Payment is due before the start of the term.

What if I fall behind on payment?

We understand that things happen. But please note, we cannot hold your child’s time slot if the account is overdue. As soon as it’s settled, we’ll do our best to get you back in.

Scheduling

What if I don’t want my child to swim during winter?

We understand winter can feel chilly and uncomfortable, but consistency is key when it comes to swimming. Taking a break can cause children to lose progress or confidence. Our pool is heated year-round, making it warm and comfortable, and we strongly recommend continuing lessons through the season to keep skills sharp and confidence high.

What happens if my child misses a lesson?

If your little one is sick, let us know as soon as you can. We’ll try to offer one make-up lesson during the same month (if there’s space). Unfortunately, missed make-ups or no-shows cannot be carried over to the next month or term.

Do you swim on public holidays?

Nope! We all get the day off to recharge. No lessons or make-ups on public holidays.

How often should my child swim?

Once a week is fine, but younger children often do better with two lessons per week.
