Find the answers you need
Are the pools heated?
Yes, all our pools are heated to a comfortable temperature year-round to ensure an enjoyable learning experience for every swimmer.
What happens if we want to take a break from swimming lessons (e.g., for travel)?
If you plan to take a break of more than one month, please provide a full month’s written notice directly to your trainer. This allows us to manage scheduling effectively and ensure a smooth return when you’re ready to resume lessons.
How do your terms work?
We follow a four-term structure .Once your child is registered, their enrolment automatically continues into the next term. Should you wish to pause for a term, we require one month’s written notice as per our school’s notice policy.
What should my child eat before a lesson?
We recommend avoiding dairy, fruit, eggs, or a full meal within six hours before your child’s swim lesson, as these can cause discomfort such as cramps, bloating, or nausea. A light snack like toast or a banana at least an hour before is ideal.
What happens if there is lightning?
In the event of lightning or other unforeseen weather conditions, lessons may be paused or cancelled for safety reasons. Unfortunately, make-up lessons cannot be guaranteed and will depend on the instructor’s availability.

At the Pool
Why does this course cost so much more than traditional swimming lessons?
- This program was developed in the states and the proven method was brought home to South Africa.
- These private lessons, has the instructors undivided attention,
- In 3-6 weeks (NOT YEARS) they are taught the roll over breathing technique that can save their life in an aquatic accident.
- Traditional Swim Schools don’t attempt this method because it takes time, skill and patience.

Once they’ve nailed the basics, we recommend moving into our weekly group lessons. It’s the perfect next step for stamina, strength, and social swimming
Scheduling & Lessons
What is the best age to start the course?
Once your child can walk, they can kick to swim! When these little humans are mobile and drawn to water, sadly, drowning is a primary concern.
Why every day? Isn’t that too much?
Daily lessons help toddlers and children to learn faster, reduce fear and anxiety, and build trust with their instructor. This takes into consideration the attention span of each age group.
Do you swim on public holidays?
Nope! We all get the day off to recharge. No lessons or make-ups on public holidays.
What if it’s raining or there’s lightning?
We’ll always put safety first. If we need to cancel due to weather, we’ll aim to reschedule when it’s safe.
At the Pool
Will my child cry?
Possibly. New faces, water, and separation anxiety can all feel big at this age, but it’s completely normal. If you stick to the program with consistent attendance, your child will quickly settle into their new routine and begin to trust their instructor.
What if my child isn’t fully potty trained yet?
That’s no problem! We provide reusable waterproof nappies that are required for any child who isn’t fully potty trained. They’re available for purchase directly from us and help keep the pool clean, safe, and comfortable for everyone.
Can I watch my child swim?
We totally get that you want to be close! But stepping back during lessons helps your child bond with the instructor, develop independence, and focus on their instructors' important verbal cues and encouragement.
Do I get in the water with my child?
Nope! It's only your child and their instructor one- on-one in the water for their lesson.
Does it matter if my child cannot talk yet?
Not at all. Swimming and floating are motor skills that can be taught to a baby through repetitive exercises, along with verbal cues and encouragement.
General
Does my child need to complete the Swim Safe Course before joining group lessons?
If your child is completely water safe and can confidently swim a full length of the pool unassisted, they’re welcome to join group lessons without first completing the Swim Survival Course.
What are group lessons like?
Weekly 20-minute lessons with up to 3 kids per class — small enough for personal attention, but social enough for fun and confidence-building.
OLDER confident swimmers who are practising the 4 swim strokes are 30min lessons with up to 4 children in a group.
Fees & Payment
When are invoices sent?
Term-based group lesson invoices get emailed out on the 25th of the month. Payment is due before the start of the term.
What if I fall behind on payment?
We understand that things happen. But please note, we cannot hold your child’s time slot if the account is overdue. As soon as it’s settled, we’ll do our best to get you back in.
Scheduling
What if I don’t want my child to swim during winter?
We understand winter can feel chilly and uncomfortable, but consistency is key when it comes to swimming. Taking a break can cause children to lose progress or confidence. Our pool is heated year-round, making it warm and comfortable, and we strongly recommend continuing lessons through the season to keep skills sharp and confidence high.
What happens if my child misses a lesson?
If your little one is sick, let us know as soon as you can. We’ll try to offer one make-up lesson during the same month (if there’s space). Unfortunately, missed make-ups or no-shows cannot be carried over to the next month or term.
Do you swim on public holidays?
Nope! We all get the day off to recharge. No lessons or make-ups on public holidays.
How often should my child swim?
Once a week is fine, but younger children often do better with two lessons per week.
